Mayor's Blog..........

The mayor (and camp) have returned from the playa.

September 7th, 2011

Hi folks,

Well, we had a great time; and we made it back to the default world.  Hope you did too.

Here is a first small photo of our village from the sky.  I’ll post more as I get them.

It’s Travel-time!

August 23rd, 2011

Hi visitors.

We are packed and heading out to setup the AEZ village.  If you wanted to camp with us.  Come by on the playa and ask.

If you are already registered, swell; we’ll see you soon!

And bring sunblock, it’s going to be HOT for the first few days, then drop to the mid-90′s by next wed.

Have fun!

The map is DONE!!!!

August 14th, 2011

Yes folks,

Troy has knocked himself out and the map is completed.

You want a change.  email me, but I doubt if we can do much before we get onto the Playa.

And rest assumed, once we are out there, we can do a lot to make your space work.  (We do it every year.)

Don’t forget your ticket.   – Jolly Roger

Welcome to the AEZ

March 30th, 2011

Hello visitors & villagers.

Welcome to the AEZ website.

If you are exploring for lots of tips, info, and being generator free on the playa, you’ll find it all OVER this website. Look at the tabs at the top of the page.  Or search for what you are interested in.

Camping in the AEZ

If you are interested in doing Burning Man with friendly folk (mostly), and without generators (ever); then you have come to a good place.
And you are mighty LATE! We are very full today (August 14th, 2011)

We are now at 501 people.
What that means is,  if you join our village now, all of the current camps will have to shrink to fit you in.

Please think hard if this is really what you want.  We will fit in anyone who asks; but is a cramped space what you want on the Playa??

If you STILL want to camp in the AEZ, fill out this form “AEZ 2011 Camp Registration.”

You are welcome to send me a message.

roger (at) jollyone (dot) com     I will see what can be done, most likely; it will have to wait until we get out there.

——————————————————————————————

We have a few changes for this year. For one, Jolly Roger has gone back to being Mayor. For another, we plan to ask a lot of questions about how YOU want the AEZ to be. Stay tuned for more.

The Final map has been posted

August 15th, 2010

I’m done with changes. I love you all, but I need to get the final surveys organised.

The latest map has been posted to the camping section of the site. As well as PDF’s and a gridded version for layout.

If there is anything missing, I can make try to make changes, but won’t be posting any new maps. Any other changes will have to be sorted out on the playa.

We are Full, Full, Full.

July 27th, 2010

We’ve basicly filled up all space in the AEZ at this time. We are still taking applications (No one turned away) but they will be waitlisted and you may have to take your chances when you get there on the playa.

Thinking about 2010

January 27th, 2010

I’m thinking about the design for 2010, and given that the theme is metropolis i’ve decided that we can go back to our roots of urban planning. Yes that’s right, no more crazy curves, just straight lines and clearly defined boundaries.

I expect everyone to have a white picket fence around their camps.

New Website

November 5th, 2009

Yes, we have a(nother) new website.

Many thanks and kidos to Laura Kilmaster and Chris Johnannsen who got this up and running.

Welcome

September 7th, 2009

Welcome AEZers. We’ve been here for many years living an alternative energy lifestyle both on and off the playa.

This is your (mostly) trusty Mayor here. I don’t have much to say very often, but when I do it is usually useful and valuable information, especially if you want to camp with us in BRC.

The AEZ Village invites you to join us. What started as a theme camp has grown into a true village. Friends, family and tribe; all of a heart to tread more lightly on the playa.
